Android Auto Setup
Android Auto is the safer, easier way to use an Android phone while
driving. This integrated system allows drivers to quickly access
contacts, calendars, messaging, real-time traffic and navigation, and
more than 100 third-party apps. To get started using Android Auto, read or watch the
instructions below for setup.
Check Your Car Compatibility
Ensure your car or aftermarket stereo is compatible with Android Auto. The following models are supported:
- Chrysler:
- 2017-2023 Chrysler 300
- 2018-2024 Chrysler Pacifica
- Dodge:
- 2017-2023 Dodge Challenger
- 2017-2023 Dodge Charger
- 2018-2024 Dodge Durango
- Jeep:
- 2017-2024 Jeep Compass
- 2018-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee
- 2017-2024 Jeep Renegade
- 2017-2024 Jeep Wrangler
- Ram:
- 2018-2024 Ram 1500
- 2018-2024 Ram 2500
- 2018-2024 Ram 3500
Check Your Phone Compatibility
If you have Android 9 or below, download the Android Auto app on your phone. For Android 10 and above, Android Auto is built-in, eliminating the need for a separate app.
Connect
- Connect your phone to your car using a USB cable to see Android Auto on your car display.

Wireless Connection:
- Some phones and cars support wireless connectivity.
- Requirements:
- A compatible Android phone with an active data plan and 5 GHz Wi-Fi support.
- Wireless projection is compatible with:
- Any phone with Android 11.0
- Google or Samsung phone with Android 10.0
- Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, or Note 8 with Android 9.0
- Check with your car manufacturer for wireless capability.
If your Uconnect® system includes Android Auto
integration and you are running version 10 of the Android™ OS, you do
not need to take any special steps to access Android Auto; simply
connect your smartphone and your Uconnect system will do the rest. If
your smartphone is running the Android 9 OS or below, you will need to
install the Android Auto app on your smartphone to connect to your
Uconnect system.
